As.Roma is crashing out of every competition

Rudi Garcia is not going through the best of times with As.Roma as the Italian club has been experiencing a string of underwhelming performances and their latest result has seen them getting knocked out of the Coppa Italia after losing against the Serie B team Spezia.

As.Roma has also been dropping points in the Serie A after drawing with Torino and Napoli in their 2 latest league matches and also losing against Atalanta.

Dropping a few points in the Italian League is not such a big sign of worry for As.Roma but crashing out of the Coppa Italia was a huge blow for Rudi Garcia and his men as the Coppa Italia was their most realistic piece of silverware that they could obtain in this season.

Rudi Garcia is aiming for a better Champions League campaign

During the 2014-15 season of the Champions League, As.Roma failed to make it out of the group stages as the Italian team only won 1 match in these stages of the European competition as they went through a disappointing campaign.
Truth be told, it was a very difficult group as As.Roma was pitted along with Bayern Munich, Manchester City and CSKA Moscow in group E of the previous season. Even though it was a very complicated group, As.Roma was expected to do better as they could only win 1 match and lost 3 while having to settle with 2 draws.

Rudi Garcia remains confident on the team

Roma manager Rudi Garcia remains confident that the team will be able to finish the season on a strong note despite only managing a 1-1 draw against Torino.

Apart from the two dropped points, the club also witnessed their arch rivals Lazio overtake them in the Italian Serie A table. Lazio now lead Roma by a point with eight games left in the campaign. Aside from the point advantage, Lazio also have a significant advantage in terms of goal difference which will effectively translate into an advantage for the team currently ahead in the table.
