ROMA JOIN SAKHO BID

Serie A outfit AS Roma have reportedly joined in the race for former Liverpool star MamadouSakho.

The embattled defender was suspended following his drugs scandal but he seemed to have picked up pace at Crystal Palace.

Palace manager Sam Allardyce hinted that the player would not get a permanent deal despite his decent show for the team. With KostaManolas poised to exit during the summer Roma want to use Sakho as the replacement. Roma would have little resistance from Liverpool where he is contracted to until the summer of 2020.

Since his move from Anfield in January, Sakho has featured seven times in the Premier League but Goalclaims Roma have sent scouts to see him in action. Liverpool signed Sakho from Ligue 1 giant Paris St Germain in 2012 for £19 million but Roma would get him cheap as the Reds would be happy to offload him.

The Giallarossi should earn enough cash if they let Manolas walk this summer as top sides are reportedly keen on signing him: Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Inter Milan and the rest.

Roma are also keen on adding Southampton winger DusanTadic to its team this summer, according to reports. Southampton are perennial transfer market dealers and it seems Tadic would be up when the window opens. Roma would have to battle Juventus, Napoli, Atletico Madrid and Juventus for the player.

Tadic moved to England from FC Twente in 2014 but his contributions have earned him the admiration of top managers in Europe. The Saints acquired him for €14 million and they would be looking at making a profit from the deal.
