Mehdi Benatia has been featured in just about every match for As.Roma in this season and his performances in the heart of the defence have attracted the attention of many big clubs as his agent revealed.

Moussa Sissoko is the agent of the French defender who currently plays for As.Roma and he revealed that his client is a target of some of Europe’s biggest clubs but he still has a contract with As.Roma that expires in 4 years.

“We will have a meeting with Roma. The directors are aware of the fact that big clubs are interested. After the meeting with Roma we will see what Mehdi’s decision will be. Although today, he feels very, very happy at Roma.” Sissoko stated.

Benatia joined As.Roma last year as he arrived from Udinese and penned a 5 year long contract as he arrived with a price tag of €13.5 million. Ever since he completed his move to As.Roma, the Frenchman has made standout performances which have earned him a spot in the heart of the defence of the team.

While the future of Benatia remains unclear, the 17 years old Daniel De Silva of Perth Glory is close on seeing his way into Serie A as he is expected to be completing soon a switch from the Australian club Perth Glory to As.Roma.

De Silva’s man of the match performance in Australia’s 1-1 draw against Colombia made his capture the attention of a number of European clubs and Everton tried to sign him last year but the transfer was not completed due to visa complications and it is now believed that As.Roma is on the verge of securing his services.
