Transfer speculation surrounding Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri
Transfer speculation surrounding Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri making an offer for Chelsea midfielder Oscar has increased after the manager’s open comments about the player in a recent interview. Only 12 months ago, Oscar was seen as the most important man at Chelsea.
Jose Mourinho stated publicly that the presence of the Brazilian was a major factor in the club decided to sell Juan Mata to Manchester United. However, Oscar was rather disappointing last season and tiredness has been blamed as a major factor. Even then, there have been rumours of a fallout between Oscar and Mourinho.
Even though the 23-year-old played in most of the matches, he was often substituted with many minutes remaining on the clock. It is not known whether Mourinho did this purposely or to protect the player from tiredness. There have been rumours of a £ 30 million bid from Juventus, but it has so far not arrived officially. The latest months from Allegri, though, hint that there is definite smoke behind the screens. Apart from Oscar, Allegri also revealed that players like Real Madrid playmaker Isco are also those that he would like to have in his team. After reaching the Champions League final last season, Juventus will hope to go one step closer this campaign.
"I like Real Madrid's Isco a lot, and Oscar -- but I also like two young Italians, Domenico Berardi and Federico Bernardeschi. I would really like a player who can invent a match and is never predictable -- I need that wild card within a balanced, structured tactical scheme. I will often choose a starting XI on a Friday afternoon and then change things completely on the Sunday after an intuition. I have a lot of self-confidence.I never expect gratitude or empathy from anyone,” said Allegri about the interest in Oscar and Isco.
