AS Roma in race with Arsenal and Liverpool
Italian Serie A club AS Roma are all set to heighten their interest in PSG footballer Javier Pastore, who is also wanted by English Premier League club Liverpool and Arsenal. Javier is desperate to make it to the secure regular 1st team football as he wants to ensure his spot in Argentine World Cup team in Brazil next year. But this season he has just made 6 stars for French champs PSG.
Reports in the Italian media suggests that present Serie A table toppers AS Roma is looking to secure the twenty four year old player on a 6 month loan contract. And AS Roma has to battle it out with Liverpool and Arsenal for his sign.
The midfield player has been an important player for the French champs over the last 2 seasons since his join them from Italian team Palermo in the year 2011. Arsene Wenger, the Arsenal manager, gave a late bid to get Pastore’s sign on summer transfer window’s last day and the deal did not happen.
Now AS Roma's rumored interest on Javier would probably force Arsenal manager to renew his interest in the former Huracan man. In the mean time, Brendan Rodgers, the Liverpool manager, has also spotted Javier as one of his primary targets during the January transfer window.
Some reports suggest that Turkish team Fenerbache is also trying to get Pastore in their team. For PSG, Javier Pastore made twenty four goals in ninety games.
